Press Brake Setter

Location: Leicester

Salary: £15.50 - £16.00+ per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

Overtime: Available during busy periods and paid at Time and a Half

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Setter to join a well-established manufacturing company in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with experience setting and operating CNC press brakes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up machines, ensuring production runs efficiently, and maintaining the highest quality standards. Experience with Amada Press Brakes is advantageous, although candidates with transferable experience from other machines may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC Press Brake machines

• Tool selection, installation and machine set-up for production runs

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions

• Adjusting machine parameters to achieve required tolerances and bend specifications

• First-off inspection and quality checking of components

• Working closely with production teams to meet customer deadlines

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Press Brake Setter, Press Brake Operator/Setter or CNC Press Brake Technician

• Experience setting CNC press brakes and changing tooling

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Strong understanding of bend allowances, tolerances and sheet metal fabrication processes

• Experience with Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, Edward Pearson or similar machinery would be advantageous

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
